Since meeting in 1999 in their home town of Copenhagen, Tomas Barfod and Kasper Bjørke have produced some of the biggest, commercial dance floor chart hits in Denmark under the artist name FILUR. The last single You & I, from their second album "Deeply Superficial", including the classic Trentemøller remix has been circulating around Europe on white label since its release in 2003. Since the duo started in ´99 - FILUR have had great international feedback and success even in far away places like as Japan, where they have also toured several times. With two award winning albums released via Playground and Mega winning them two Danish Music Awards for Best Producers and Best Dance Album as well as six DJ awards, Tomas and Kasper belong to the top echelons of the Danish electronic scene, both as dj´s and producers. They have played in most major cities across Europe, Japan and the US. They have an impressive list of big name festival gigs under their belt including; Roskilde Festival (Denmark), 10 Days Of (Belgium), SonnemondeSterne (Germany) and WMC, Miami.
They currently hold a residency at the legendary Rust Club in Copenhagen. Their style has evolved from the more commercial house to influences from rock, electro, pop and post disco. On the new album Into The Wasteland set for release through V2 Records in May 2006 throughout Scandinavia, the new musical direction is prominent. It features guest vocalists Stina Nordenstam (S), Dominique Keegan (The Glass / NYC), Blake (the former singer in the Icelandic band GusGus) and new Danish talent Josephine Philip. The first single The Con features Josephine Philip and includes some great remixes, by Play Paul (Kitsune / Crydamoure) and The Glass. Tomas and Kasper also produce music separately under various pseudonyms, reflecting the diversity of the two members. Tomas plays the drums in the successful live rock trio Who Made Who released on Gomma, where he also releases his solo project Tom Boy. Meanwhile Kasper has released solo work on the English-German label Fine Records under his own name, and he has also recently started a new band called Man My Machine.
